Although the conference is still two months away, the deadline to submit artwork by artist with a disability is fast approaching. The 2010 Tennessee Disability MegaConference will be held at the Nashville Airport Marriott again on June 3rd and 4th. But the deadline for entry of the artwork is March 19th. The winning artist will be notified by April 2nd, 2010. All artwork submitted will be displayed in the exhibit Area during the conference.

Sponsored by The Arc of Tennessee, the theme this year is "Sharing Our Strength" through empowerment, inclusion, self-determination, and choice. The conference is "fragrance free" in consideration of people with chemical sensitivities. The MegaConference values diversity and invites everyone to participate regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, geographic location, sexual orientation, gender or level of ability.

Conference topic include access, assisted technology education, employment, quality supports and administrative for provider agencies. But it is not all work and no play. The conference starts off each morning with an elective yoga class, and will also offer Zumba, a Latin style exercise/dance class, taekwondo, and drumming.
