Do you freeze up or ramble when someone asks what you want to do? If so, a career fair is a great way to practice your 30 second elevator pitch. After you’ve approached a dozen or so exhibitors, you’ll get your pitch down and your timing just right.
To get the most out of a career fair, take it seriously like a job interview. Turn the cell phone to silent. Dress professionally. Bring lots of resumes and plenty of patience. Remember, these are long days for the exhibitors so when you finally do get to the front of line, SMILE and thank them for being there.
Lincoln Financial Field is located at 1020 Pattison Avenue in Philadelphia. The event is FREE; however, you must have a resume to gain entrance. This is a huge event that draws thousands of candidates so be sure to REGISTER in ADVANCE. Let me know how it goes!
