Despite the torturing cold that we are facing, at least it is warm and sunny in Chicago — at least on Bravo’s newest reality series, “100 Days of Summer.” The season premiere is tonight on Bravo and follows six young, successful and driven Chicagoans. Being hooked into Chi-Town’s hottest industries, these nightlife impresarios, fashionistas, real estate moguls and entrepreneurs include Vincent Anzalone, Ray Austin, Tara Clack, Phillips Demming, Jay Michael, and Pascale Wellin.
Vincent is the one to look out for. He holds the keys to the social scene of Chicago. Vincent goal is to make his company blossom and make his career evolve, but like everything in life that will not come easy for him. Vincent struggles with finding the perfect balance of working with a lot of beautiful ladies, which at times does not go over so well with his girlfriend.

Examiner: How are you holding up in the cold in Chicago?
Vincent Anzalone: “It is horrific; it is like negative 15 degrees out.”
Examiner: How did you get your start in the industry of entertainment and marketing?
Vincent Anzalone: “My business partner was a promoter for a long time and I was in mortgage with my own mortgage company for ten years, and right in 2007 is when everything started to crash…My business partner approached me with the idea of throwing some parties, and I needed to make money, and we had intended to open up our own sports bar, but that’s not how it worked out. After doing a lot of parties we started to develop different marketing strategies which also forced us into public relations.”
Examiner: What do you think is the biggest misconception about your career in the nightlife industry?
Vincent Anzalone: “I think that people think that I don’t have any goals, and I just want to drink and party every night. There is always a means to an end, and it is more than just partying with girls every night.”
Examiner: Some of your cast mates have labeled you as a “player” how do you respond to that?
Vincent Anzalone: “I think that in different parts of my life, I can see where they are coming from. There are two different parts of my life; when I am single, I can get pretty wild, but the thing is, I only have to answer to myself. When I am in a relationship, it is different and I am much more respectful. The show just happened to catch me in the middle of a transition, from being single to being in a relationship (laughs), and sometimes the transition isn’t that smooth.”
Examiner: What will viewers get to see from your relationship with Jessica?
Vincent Anzalone: “Viewers will see me trying to balance myself as well as her frustrations with my career, but viewers will also see me fighting off the stereotypes and rumors that come with my job.”
Examiner: How do you find balance with your relationship and your business partner?
Vincent Anzalone: “Viewers are going to see me talk to Jessica about his concerns and how she behaved at one of our events, and it’s not an easy thing to do, but I understand that it is necessary. My business partner is much more conservative and serious, I just hope that people don’t take me that serious when they tune in.”
Examiner: In the past have you always picked your career over a relationship?
Vincent Anzalone: “It was one of the toughest balances that I’ve always had, and for the most part, I have always went with work…You have to find someone who cares enough about you and what you do, and who is willing to make that balance manageable.”
Examiner: What makes Chicago’s nightlife scene unique?
Vincent Anzalone: “Chicago’s nightlife is very different and it is a scene for everyone; you have the hipsters, touristy nightlife, and the mainstream nightlife. It is also very close together, so you’re able to go to four to five different places without having to go very far. Chicago is very easy to get around and it makes for a great night out.”
Examiner: Who would you say that you bonded with the most from the cast?
Vincent Anzalone: “Ray and I have always gotten along, and mesh with him very well. I’ve also got along really well with Jay and identified with, and that is someone that I will say our relationship has improved.”
Examiner: What do you think will surprise viewers the most this season?
Vincent Anzalone: “I think that people will see that people from Chicago and the Midwest; while we may seem fun and nice on the outside, it is a different situation when people’s backs are turned.”
Examiner: Lastly, what are your goals and what do you want people to take away from watching your journey?
Vincent Anzalone: “I want people to not take me too seriously, but also there is a serious side of me that is ambitious and professional. I want to make Chicago look good, I want to inspire people to want to visit Chicago, it deserves national recognition. The summers in Chicago are simply the best!”
