If you like the TV reality show “Moonshiners” make plans to attend this year’s Charlotte AutoFair for the chance to meet Bootleg Bill, Josh Owens and Cutie Pie. They will be at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday, Sept. 20 and Saturday Sept. 21, 2013.
The Charlotte AutoFair features the world’s largest auto show. This year in the Showcase Pavilion, the fair will feature a special moonshining vehicle display. What better way to show off the moonshiner’s car section than with the stars from the Discovery channel “Moonshiners.”
Before Josh became a TV celebrity, he had a different career. He was a professional superbike and motocross racer. It’s no wonder that you see him and his dog, Cutie Pie riding on a motorcycle in the opening credits. Josh rescued Cutie Pie from a kill shelter. She loves to sit and ride on the motorcycle with Josh. Fans adore the cute, furry dog who is as big a star as the moonshiners. Besides being a moonshiner, Josh also works as a lumberjack.
When Bill isn’t out moonshining, you can find him playing the fiddle with local country music bands. Sometimes on the show, Bill will pick up the fiddle and start to play. Bill resides in South Carolina.
You can meet Bill, Josh and Cutie Pie from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 20. Then on Sept 21, they will be there from noon to 1 p.m. and 3 to 4 p.m. They will be signing autographs during that time.
Tickets prices to attend the Charlotte AutoFair are $10 for adults. Children 13 or younger get in free. If you want to attend four days, you can buy a pass for $30. The show is open Thursday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., or you can attend on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you want more information, call 1-800-455-FANS or visit www.charlottemotorspeedway.com.
