Released today, the most recent tally by Forbes Magazine lists the richest people in the world and ranks them by net worth. This year's list is made up of a record 1,426 individuals from around the globe in various industries and sectors. For the forth year in a row, 73-year-old Mexican telecommunications venturist, Carlos Slim Helú, ranks in the top spot with $73 billion in assets. Behind him with $67 billion is Bill Gates (who is ranked number one in the United States), and Spain's Amancio Ortega comes in third with $57 billion. Below is a list of the top ten names on Forbes' list:
