There will be no second season of "Meet the Hutterites: American Colony." Fans are still in denial that the popular National Geographic reality show ended after only one season. Claudia Hofer told friends on her Facebook last week that, "It's over!"
Sadly, there are those viewers who have just discovered the Hutterites through reruns only to discover it has already ended. It is really less about losing a favorite show and more about losing some friends.
This communal religious group dates back to the 15th century and is an off-shoot of the Anabaptists like the Amish and the Mennonites, each a slightly different type of American colony. Some of the younger principles from the show have kept up a conversation with fans through Facebook. They have all made it clear that the show is definitely over.
There was a disagreement involving the elders of the Church and the television executives concerning the way that life at King Colony was being portrayed in "Meet the Hutterites: American Colony."
