We could not pass up the opportunity to mention that Surgeon Dr. Jordan Deschamps-Braly, just opened a new practice on Nob Hill, San Francisco.
We had the privilege to meet the dashing Dr. Jordan and examine him.
With piercing blue eyes that spoke of his passion for beauty, he shared his goals for the near future.
"I specialize in cosmetic and craniofacial procedures. My services among other things include facial aesthetics. I am passionate about making a patient look more youthful, refreshed and beautiful.
I also do craniofacial surgery to alter the skeletal structure of the face, and orthognathic surgery to reposition the upper or lower jaw," he shares.
We soon realized how humble and devoted Dr. Deschamps-Braly is.
Dr. Deschamps-Braly loves children and dedicates time to restoring youthful faces of children or young adults with deformities.
His dedication and caring ambition for children have no bounds. He plans to launch a foundation to offer treatment for children with craniofacial conditions who otherwise could not afford it.
The Foundation’s team intends to provide diagnosis, access to care, and long term management for children with craniofacial abnormalities as well as fund international missions for the same purpose.
“1 in 700 kids in the US today are affected by a craniofacial condition of some kind,” states Dr Deschamps-Braly.
A native of Oklahoma, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma Honors College, Dr. Deschamps-Braly did his initial training in General and Plastic Surgery at the University of Oklahoma, followed by Craniofacial Surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
He then moved to Paris, the birthplace of the practice, for a formal fellowship at Hôpital Necker Enfants Malades, the world’s first pediatric hospital.
Dr. Deschamps-Braly then did a fellowship at the University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland, in the Craniomaxillofacial Department.
Since opening his own practice in San Francisco, Dr. Deschamps-Braly has been supporting the SF Ballet along with the SF Museum of Modern Art.
Our city is lucky indeed to have such a high caliber "persona" among its residents.
