Denver author and freelance writer Dimity McDowell along with friend and fellow runner and writer Sarah Bowen Shea, of Portland, teamed together to write this book about training and racing in the 2007 Nike Women’s Marathon. The two were hired by Runner's World to chronicle how they juggled work, parenting and running for a year. The book discusses everything from clothing and nutrition to staying motivated and fitting runs into busy schedules.
