Andreea Raducan was the first Romanian gymnast to win the Olympic all-around title since Nadia Comaneci in 1976, but she was disqualified and stripped of her gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics shortly after the competition concluded. Now, 13 years later, Raducan, whose dreams were shattered over two common cold remedy tablets, is launching the English version of her book, The Other Side of the Medal. She shares her story of the Olympic dream, courage, despair and hope.
