Come out to Edison next weekend, February 10-12 and meet representatives from the Monmouth County SPCA in booth number 228. They will be offering information to the public about their services, programs, upcoming events and collecting donations.
“We have so much to offer,” said Lisa Mulhearn, MCSPCA representative. “Our services include a spay/neuter clinic, micro chipping, dog training, humane education, and pet therapy. We showcase our adoptable pets online as well as at our facility, and we do our best to help our cats and dogs find a new home best suited for his or her personality and well-being.”
The Monmouth County SPCA has a very interesting history and has posted a fantastic video story on their website. As the story goes, it all started on a farm in Eatontown, New Jersey. From their humble beginnings, they now boast a state-of-the-art animal care facility and can accommodate 75 dogs and 200 cats.
It is important to note that the Monmouth County SPCA relies entirely on donations to fund all the programs they provide, nor do they ever euthanize adoptable pets. It is therefore of utmost importance that all adoptable pets find homes as soon as possible in order to make room for others in need of rescue and care.
It is also critical that a steady stream of donations be found and all fundraising efforts remain successful. At the moment, the facility is operating at a deficit every month.
