Tecmo Koei has been steadily teasing new content for upcoming Legend of Zelda-themed Hyrule Warriors, a hack-and-slash game that looks and feels like Dynasty Warriors in the Zelda universe. In the game, players assume control over one of Hyrule's heroes to help fend off the corrupted sorceress Cia and her invading army of monsters and goblins.
Players familiar with the Dynasty Warriors games will notice the similarities immediately. Upon choosing a character, they will be tasked with staving off waves of monsters. Each of these characters comes equipped with their own unique style of play, changing the way the player can move throughout the area and dish out their own brand of Hyrulian justice.
Currently there have been six playable characters announced. As to be expected, Link and Zelda are among the cast of heroes, as are Impa (Zelda's loyal bodyguard) and Midna (the Twilight Princess). Tecmo Koei has also announced Agitha, self-proclaimed princess of the insect kingdom, and Lana.
Even the most astute Zelda fans won't recognize Lana. That is because she is a brand new character making her debut in Hyrule Warriors. According to the trailer, Lana seems to be a spritely young sorceress with the ability to cast powerful spells using her magical tome. She can summon large blocks that she can push, roll, or shatter to take out large groups of oncoming enemy forces.
Little else is known about Lana, except that she is heavily invested in taking down Cia.

Hyrule Warriors is slated for launch this Fall on September 26 exclusively on the Wii U.
