Time Warner Cable will hold a grand re-opening to showcase its remodeled store in Jamaica, Queens. The store’s new design provides local residents with an interactive experience surrounding the company’s suite of TV, Internet and phone products. The February 21 event will be headlined by New York Knicks great Larry Johnson, who will be available to sign autographs and pose for photographs with fans from 12 p.m -2 p.m. The store is located at 133-19 Atlantic Avenue.
New Yorkers who visit the store that day can also enter a free sweepstakes for tickets to upcoming Knicks home games at Madison Square Garden. A Grand Prize will include tickets to a Knicks game, as well as a signed Knicks jersey, limousine service to and from the game and a restaurant gift card. The store’s re-opening celebrations will also include complimentary food and special appearances by the Knicks City Dancers.
“Time Warner Cable is very excited to open our newly remodeled store and we welcome the Jamaica community to celebrate with us on February 21,” said Brien Kelley, Time Warner Cable’s Area Vice President of Operations for Queens. “The new store layout gives more opportunities for us to fully engage and interact with the public, demonstrating all the ways consumers can enjoy their passions better with our products and services.”
Congressman Gregory Meeks said, “I applaud Time Warner Cable for making this investment to better serve the residents of Jamaica. Time Warner Cable is a great New York City-based company that employs many people in Queens. I look forward to their continued investments for the benefit of the local economy.”
“Our new, remodeled store will help us better connect with our valued subscribers to provide them with better customer service and interactive experiences that showcase our suite of products and services, said Jim Netska, VP of Retail Sales, Time Warner Cable, East Region. “Time Warner Cable invents new ways for people to enjoy better their favorite TV shows and other passions. This store will help customers learn how our technologies help them stay connected to entertainment, information and each other.”
The remodeled store, located at 133-19 Atlantic Avenue, is Time Warner Cable’s first store in Queens to boast a modern, open floor plan that enables customers to better interact with company representatives and receive improved customer service.
In addition to enhanced customer service, the remodeled store features interactive kiosks that invite customers to experience how the company’s products and services enable them to enjoy movies, news, shows, music and their online world better.
Time Warner Cable plans to expand this new retail concept to other stores nationally during the next several years. A similar experiential store opened in the New York City market on Staten Island in December 2011.
In addition to the store sweepstakes event, Time Warner Cable customers can also win tickets to Knicks, New York Rangers and concert events at Madison Square Garden through a dedicated website (http://www.timewarnercable.com/exclusives). The offerings are part of a long-term marketing partnership between the companies that enables Time Warner Cable to use Madison Square Garden’s unrivaled ability to deliver unforgettable experiences for New York City-area customers.
Time Warner Cable’s New York City service area includes Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island and western Brooklyn, Mt. Vernon, NY, as well as Bergen and Hudson counties in New Jersey.
