For the past few years, race fans at the summer race at the Daytona International Speedway have been able to purchase a special ticket package that allows them to meet Jimmie Johnson before he takes to the track for 400 miles of hard nighttime racing. This year, the popular ticket package for the upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event on Saturday, July 5 has returned.
Jimmie Johnson, six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion and the two-time Daytona 500 winner, teams with the speedway for “The 48 Family Experience.” The special ticket package, available starting at $48 per ticket for adults and $10 for children 12 and under, includes a grandstand ticket to the Coke Zero 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, a 15-minute question-and-answer session with Johnson inside the air-conditioned Velocitorium that is located outside Turn 4, and Special Daytona International Speedway giveaways.
Prior to the question-and-answer session, children will have the opportunity to put together a Lowe’s Build and Grow race car. Tickets for “The 48 Family Experience” ticket package are available online or by calling 1-800-PITSHOP.
For those of you who are Hendrick Motorsports fans, but tend to lean more towards Jr. Nation than the 6-pack, Daytona has a package for you as well. Only five drivers in history have swept the DAYTONA 500 and the Coke Zero 400 in the same season: Jimmie Johnson (2013), Bobby Allison (1982), Fireball Roberts (1962), Cale Yarborough (1968) and LeeRoy Yarbrough (1969).
As the driver of the No. 88 National Guard Chevrolet pursues history, the “World Center of Racing” has put together a special ticket offer around the two-time DAYTONA 500 champion.
The ticket package includes:
· A Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola grandstand ticket
· Dale Earnhardt Jr. 2014 DAYTONA 500 2-Time Champion Collectible DVD
· Commemorative photo with Dale Jr.’s No. 88 DAYTONA 500 championship car on race weekend inside the Daytona International Speedway Ticket and Tours Building
Tickets for the Dale Jr. offer start at $64 and are available by clicking here or by calling 1-800-PITSHOP.
