He’s wacky, he’s wild … he’s Habitat for Hermanity! The site, which offers “Helpful, Hilarious & Hellacious Real Estate & Design with a Punchline!”, features real estate personality Herman Chan doing – well, his Herman thing.
And what’s that? Well, he’s bent on poking at the real estate business – but at the same time, Herman wants to help both buyers and sellers get the best of the industry. His blog has its share of self-promotion (“Herman featured here, here AND here!”), but also some rollicking bits. Want to see a mortician give a tour of dead celebrity homes? (And who doesn’t?) How about tips to “make sure your condo isn’t a condon’t”? Herman’s here for you.
One of my personal favorites? A video titled “Is Your Realtor Hockin’ Homes or Hockin’ Hooters?” Touting himself as “shar[ing] TMI about my real estate life”, Herman coos about real estate agents who, well, let it all hang out. “Is the house for sale,” his client supposedly asked him, “or is she for sale? Either way, I’m buying!”
Herman himself gets around – in terms of public appearances, that is. In 2011, he showed his pretty face from coast to coast, preaching the gospel of Herman himself. And who wouldn’t kneel at his altar?
