WPBT channel two, your local broadcast, presented at The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Florida: Dream With Me, in concert, featuring the little soprano, Jackie Evancho, an astonishing eleven years old. She first appeared and gained popularity on the television show, America's Got Talent, singing, 'O Mio Babbino Caro,' from Puccini's opera, Gianni Schicchi, and since then, has wanted to pursue her singing opportunities in front of an audience.

Would you ever think to hear a full, mature sound from a child? She seems vocally ready to begin her career as a stage performer, a career that would normally take a woman decades for technique and sound to be fully developed. Evancho seemes to have it all. In her whole lifetime is pretty much how long it takes for one to wait and accomplish the performer's dream. Yet, under her mature sound, still lies that child inside of her, with her white dress, symbolizing purity, along with her blonde, curly locks, and a touch of pink lipstick.

Selections Miss Evancho performed included the aria from Puccini's opera, Turandot, 'Nessun Dorma' (sung by the male voice, surprisingly), which struck as the most favorable by audiences, 'All I Ask of You,' from The Phantom of the Opera, 'Ombra Mai Fu,' from Xerxes, and 'When You Wish Upon a Star', to name a few. The sounds she produces now, will probably not even match what she will sound like in ten years, with continuous, yet careful training as not to cause any strain by starting her career so early. One could only imagine how that would be.
