Meet Daisy: Honorary Love Dog

See also

Sometimes a dog just touches you. She speaks to you in ways you can't describe.

Daisy was one such dog. A ten year old Rottweiler, she started her journey to becoming a Pet Partner therapy dog as part of the Love Dog Adventures Affiliate team in Las Vegas. She went to classes and her handler / mom attended a Pet Partner Workshop.

Daisy was the one dog we really felt would pass her Evaluation the first time out and become a wonderful therapy dog.

An assignment was waiting for her.

But just a few days before her scheduled Evaluation, she took ill.

Very ill.

This gentle giant of a dog had cancer.

No Evaluation now. No therapy career now. No playing with her human baby sister. No helping her mom help others.

Daisy left us just days after her diagnosis.

But she will remain an inspiration to our team and is our first Honorary Love Dog.

And constantly remind us that no matter what breed, what age, what size...the best therapy dogs are born, nor made.
