Meet Christina Abu-Judom: The brainchild of chicken and waffles potato chips

How exciting it is to have one of the ‘winning’ potato chip flavors to be the brainchild of a local resident. The person who dreamed up the chicken and waffle flavored potato chip is Christina Abu-Judom from right here in Phoenix. She is a Volunteer coordinator at non-profit “New Pathways for Youth”.

The inspiration for her flavor comes from her nephew who encouraged Christina to enter the contest. Her nephew’s favorite dish has always been chicken and waffles. While it is an unlikely combination for a potato chip, the chicken and waffles potato chip is the perfect blend of fried chicken, crispy waffle and buttery-rich syrup flavors. It is a crazy combination for a potato chip, but it certainly has its following.

Christina’s dream job is to be a photographer for National Geographic.

Christina’s chicken and waffles flavored chip was released just in time for National Potato Chip Day on March 14, 2013. Make sure to pick up a bag while they are still available. Then go to Facebook to vote for your favorite flavor.
