Meet butcher Kari Underly at America's Dog and get some tips on beef cutting

This month's hot dog special at America's Dog is a black and blue dog designed by butcher Kari Underly. Today, August 6, the restaurant chain announced on Facebook that the butcher will be visiting their location at 26 East Randolph St. on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. to sign her new book, "The Art of Beef Cutting." She'll also share with the crowd some of her very own tips on beef cutting.

While meeting Kari, don't forget to pick up her special hot dog on the menu this month. The black and blue dog starts with a Tall Grass Farms hot dog and is topped with blue cheese, coleslaw, tomatoes, sport peppers, brown mustard, and celery salt. Even better, it all comes on a pretzel roll, a hearty and delicious combination.

In addition to the black and blue dog at America's Dog, the chain is also featuring a few other specials this month, including mini pork sliders and a chicken mojito wrap.

Not only will Kari Underly appear at America's Dog tomorrow, but she'll also be on the TV program "Windy City Live" this September to talk about her new book.
