On Jan. 3, 2013, TMZ released reports that both Jenny Craig and Medifast have stated that they will not be offering Kim Kardashian any endorsement deal after her pregnancy. On Dec. 31, 2012, Kayne publicly announced that he and Kardashian were going to have a baby. Many stipulate that Kim will gain an amount of weight with the pregnancy and that she will get some sort of endorsement deal out of it.
Medifast and Jenny Craig stated that they were going to pass on a deal with the reality star and fashion mogul because she wasn’t real enough for them. Medifast stated that they were not in the market for any new celebrity endorsements at the moment and Jenny Craig said that they wanted to focus on the results that real women got in 2013 rather than the results celebrities got. Jenny Craig has an endorsement deal with Mariah Carey that they say they will continue.
Kardashian has made no comment about if she is or is not looking for a weight loss deal. She did endorse Quick Trim in 2012 though.
