Everyone these days are trying their best to relieve any cold symptoms and protect themselves from germs and any other symptoms of a virus as soon as they see symptoms but has anyone ever taken an extra hard look at what we are putting in our bodies to remain ‘healthy’, especially when it comes to medications?
Our bodies start creating immunities the moment we are born but how are our bodies supposed to keep doing so if we are all far too willing to run to the doctor the moment we start sneezing more than usual or have an 'itchy' throat. The body is an amazing system and has evolved in so many different aspects it would be hard to cover in just one conversation but we cannot continually run to our doctor’s office or local drug market to relieve any minor symptoms, we are not allowing our bodies adjust to their environment and allow it to fight off any unwelcome hosts. They are creating medicine that tastes better for kids so that it not only makes for a happier parent that the child gives no complaints about the taste but also leaves the child looking at it more like candy rather than something you only use when you are sick: Which could also lead to the child to pretend to be sick just so that they can have the medicine more often, creating an addiction to the substance.
Family physicians and doctors in general are there to help relieve symptoms that our bodies cannot fight off on their own. Monitor what you are putting in your body, along with what you give your child and the amount. No one enjoys being ill but you create more chances of getting sick, more often, if you don’t allow those natural immunities to do their job.
