Medical marijuana users face uncharted legal consequences: ACLU sues Wal-Mart over employee firing

  • Taylor Rios 5 years ago

Wal-Mart should be ashamed of themselves! Although I am not an advocate of drugs, I do know that medical marijuana helps with the pain of several disabling medical conditions and diseases - without it the man might have not been able to work. And as long as its prescribed and legal in that state, then I don't see what the problem is.

That's right Walmart, kick someone when they're down and defenseless with illness. They ought to be ashamed. Medical marijuana is legal to use for medical purposes here in Michigan - all this man wants to do is support his family with an honest day's work and do it without being in a lot of pain.

What is the hold up with normalizing medical marijuana? There is a drug war in Mexico killing thousands each year and it is half funded by marijuana. Can’t the US just do a study to see what is more harmful….legal pot or illegal pot? If they did maybe this prohibition would end and the law enforcement could focus on real crimes rather than going after every kid on the street with a glass pipe or hand rolled cigarette.
