A medical helicopter crashed in Seminole County, Oklahoma. According to a report dated, Jan. 2 all four passengers were seriously injured.
KWTV Channel 9 News in Oklahoma City also reported on Jan. 2 that the medical helicopter was going to get a patient when the engine failed. Despite all of the passengers being seriously injured, it is not believed they sustained life-threatening injuries.
“This is horrible,” Tyler Lamont, from Oklahoma City, said. “It is sad when those who save people need to be saved themselves.”
The passengers were flown to a local hospital where they are receiving treatment for their injuries. At the time of publication, their exact conditions are unknown. It is also unknown what happened to the patient they were going to pick up.
The crash is currently under investigation. The National Transportation Safety Board investigators are currently on the scene to learn the exact cause of the crash.
The medical helicopter is owned by Tulsa Life Flight. Tulsa Life Flight also owns Mediflight.
