If you’re wondering whether Supreme Court Justice nominee Elena Kagan would prove to be an activist judge, look no further. The Senate confirmation hearing presided over by Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy demonstrated that Kagan has a proven track record as an activist.
Altering policy
The Washington Times argues that Kagan’s activist behavior manipulating policy behind the scenes should be the “kiss of death” for her confirmation. Writing for Slate.com, William Saletan explains the scandal. Kagan “obscured the truth; By reframing ACOG’s [American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists’] judgments, she altered their political effect as surely as if she had changed them. She also altered their legal effect.”
Fooled
Saletan continues: “All of us should be embarrassed that a sentence written by a White House aide [Kagan] now stands enshrined in the jurisprudence of the Supreme Court, erroneously credited with scientific authorship and rigor. Kagan . . . fooled the nation's highest judges.”
Will she fool the Senate?
Keep in mind that the issue Kagan fought so zealously for is the “gruesome” procedure called partial birth abortion. This is when a child is delivered except for his head. Then his skull is stabbed and his brain sucked out, enabling the abortionist to remove the dead child from his mother.
Even pro-abortion Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy found this procedure too grisly and unpopular to support. He voted to ban this extreme abortion.
Doctoring
And yet Kagan was okay with doctoring ACOG’s policy in order to advance this horrific procedure. At age 50, Kagan could sit on the Supreme Court for half a century while America wrestles not only with abortion but also with the effects of Obamacare and other medical issues such as health care rationing, physician assisted suicide, and euthanasia.
Stabbed in the back
Which is more dangerous: stabbing children in the neck to exterminate them one at a time, or jabbing your pen into policy to authorize the slaughter of millions?
Do you trust her?
Is this the candidate you want determining how Obamacare is administered?
Are you comfortable with Kagan doctoring your health care policy from the bench?
Call your senators to voice your concerns. Do it now before you need a doctor.

Comments
Wow! I haven't been keeping up but this is news to me, that anyone could "doctor" a policy statement to an extent that misleads the Supreme Court and an entire nation as to the professional opinion of a respected medical group! I did not expect that Elena Kagan's perspective on issues would correspond with mine, but we should be able to expect integrity. The cited behavior is dishonesty. And, apparently, her dishonesty is unapologetic. In my humble opinion, she has disqualified herself.

I first heard about Kagan manipulating policy during an interview that Jill Stanek gave recently. You can check out her site at Jillstanek.com
Thanks Kelly for making us aware of this!
