Just when you thought the car events were all done for the year in Kansas City, Mecum Auctions comes to town and saves the day. The eyes of the collector car hobby will be on Kansas City’s Bartle Hall December 6-8, 2012, to watch 750 special interest cars and light trucks cross the block at the annual December sale.
In addition to bringing cars in from all over the country, the sale will also be broadcast all over the country via the Discovery Channel’s Velocity network. Look for the live broadcast on Thursday and Friday afternoons, December 7 and 8, from 3:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Central Time, and Saturday, December 8 from 1:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
Among the cars that will be available for sale will be a rare 1956 Corvette, at least two 1958 Chevrolet Impala convertibles, a 1959 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, and a 1951 Henry J hot rod.
In addition to the vehicles, Mecum will also feature “Road Art,” which is automotive-themed memorabilia like neon signage, gas pumps, and original artwork. These items will be offered two-per-hour interspersed with the vehicle auctions.
