Meatless Monday

In Loma Linda there is an aura of being healthy, especially if you are a Seventh-Day Adventist and/or attend the university. When it comes to diet, Loma Linda University is already ahead with their idea to serve all vegetarian meals. You can also find a wide array of meat substitutes in Loma Linda's grocery stores.

However, for those in Loma Linda who do eat meat and are looking for a way to live a little healthier, Meatless Monday could be for you. Meatless Monday is a global movement encouraging people to go vegetarian one day a week. The campaign attributes many health benefits to going meatless including reduced risks for major diseases like cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.

The Meatless Monday website is full of resources including recipes to help participants on their quest to going meatless. You can also check back here every Monday for a breakfast, lunch, or dinner idea.
