Leafy green vegetables are not only good for you they fight depression. Folate originates in green plants and in your green vegetables. Most of us grew up thinking that we get calcium from milk. We get calcium in green vegetables also. Argula is a dark green leafy vegetable in which 2 cups may contain 6 percent of your daily calcium.

Blue and red skin potatoes are just as good for you as broccoli. Potatoes are full of iodine and nutrients which help lower blood pressure.
Tomatoes contain lycopene which helps to maintain moods and prevents formation of inflammatory compounds that are connected with depression.
Chille peppers and garlic contain a molecule called capsaicin which is a fat absorber.
