In a one-of-a-kind newspaper ad, a woman called herself the "meanest mother in Wyoming" in a classified listing her teenage son's truck for sale after he drove drunk and got caught doing it, WPTV.com reports Jan. 14.
The ad reads: "VERY mad mother selling 16 yr. old son's 1993 Ford Ranger. Drove 3 mos. before son forgot to use his brain and got caught drunk driving. $3,500 OBO. Call meanest mother in Wyoming."
Since the ad was posted on Facebook, it's received over 61,000 likes.
While the ad may seem a bit extreme as punishment for a teenager, it definitely sends a powerful message. Not many parents would find it within themselves to actually go through with something like this if their kid was driving drunk. Calling it tough love is an understatement, but will certainly be effective.
The "meanest mom" ad has gotten a lot of attention and the teen's mother is getting support for her disciplinary action.
