Lightning strikes twice for the Dolphins as they smash Franklin Pierce 20-4 in this exciting March 19, 2011 NE-10 opener at Thomas J. Niland Athletic Complex. Against Franklin Pierce, Dolphins fans were pleased to see more of what we've come to expect from Le Moyne as senior attackman Vinnie Alexander (Syracuse, NY/Westhill/Onondaga C.C.) and freshman midfielder Andrew Chadderon (Auburn, NY/Auburn) each scored three goals. The Dolphins not wasting any time as the scoring barrage begins 1:34 into the game as senior midfielder Nick DiSarro (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) gets onto the board, assisted by Jack Venditti (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker).

After a dismal performance by the Franklin Pierce Ravens in the ensuing second quarter, the Ravens find their way onto the scoreboard as junior attackman Ryan Dintaman (Northfield, Mass.) manages to score one of his two unassisted goals of the game (http://athletics.franklinpierce.edu/sports/mlax/2010-11/releases/031911a...).
As the third quarter opens, the Dolphins, far from finished, go on to rattle off nine goals in a span of 12 minutes and 3 seconds, during which senior face-off specialist/defensive midfilder Corey Bulken (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) wins a face-off and is off the the races, finding Venditti downfield for his team-best ninth goal of the season. The Dolphins bring the third quarter to a close up 13-1.
Good defense becomes offense for Le Moyne as sophomore goalkeeper Jeff White (Buffalo, NY/Canisuis H.S) stops a shot and sends the ball to Corey Bulken, who sprints upfield to score his first goal of the NE-10 matchup. (http://www.lemoynedolphins.com/sports/mlax/2010-11/releases/20110319_mla...)
Le Moyne begins to empty out the bench as sophomore attackman Nate Frechette (Manlius, NY/Christian Brothers Academy) scores his second goal of the season, freshman midfielder Bryan Lawson (Amhurst, NY/Amhurst) follows suit with his second goal of the season, and freshman midfielder Cameron Fedish (Binghamton, NY/ Chenango Valley) hits his first career goal after winning a face-off, and brings the Le Moyne lead to 18-2, all in the fourth quarter.
Le Moyne, on a 36 straight NE-10 game winning streak, goes on to defeat Franklin Pierce 20-4 and advances to 3-1 overall, NE-10 1-0, and are set to play St. Anselm at home Saturday March 26 at 3:00 pm (http://www.lemoynedolphins.com/sports/mlax/2010-11/releases/20110319_mla...).
