Making a good, nourishing meal for our families is always a top priority.  In this busy world we live in though, it is not always easy.  Watching for meal deals can save us time and money as well as put a hearty meal on the table. Grocery stores are adding some deals that will feed a family of four inexpensively and well.

The local Bi-Lo has a deal offered regularly that is very convenient for a busy family.  For $9.99, you can buy a Stouffer's large frozen entrée, a package of Pepperidge Farms garlic bread, a Pepperidge Farms cake, and a 6 pack of Pepsi.  The entrées at our Lake City store are generally lasagne or macaroni and cheese.  The cakes are lemon, key lime, chocolate or German chocolate.  You can not make this meal from scratch with dessert and drink included for $9.99.

Piggly Wiggly has an 8 piece baked or fried chicken deal for $5.99.  Use your greenbax and get a bag of Dole classic salad free.  Pick up 14 homestyle baked cookies for $2.99.  Add either canned or frozen biscuits and maybe one more side and you have a very inexpensive meal that the family will enjoy.  Because of the time you save not cooking, you could whip up a homemade salad dressing and add your touch to the meal.  A favorite is honey mustard dressing.

1 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup mustard

1/4 cup honey

1 tsp hot sauce (optional)

Mix all ingredients and enjoy!
