August 24 - Battle of Bladensburg Encampment. Bring the family to join British and American War of 1812 troops as they camp on the lawn to prepare for battle. Free event. 12-4 p.m. at Riversdale House Museum in Riversdale Park.
August 24 - Kegs and Corks Craft Beer and Wine Fest. Kegs and Corks will feature carefully selected craft beer and Maryland wine, crab cakes, fresh local oysters, and a variety of other delicious cuisine. 12-7 p.m. at Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds in Crownsville.

August 25 - SPCA of Anne Arundel County's 2nd annual PUPPY PLUNGE. This family and dog-friendly event features live music, fun children's activities, canoeing, doggy swimming in Muscle Beach (big dogs) and Petite Beach (small dogs), Doggy Contests (Ugly Dog contest and Doggy Bikini Contest), great food, fun vendors and so much more. August 29 - Bowie Baysox Game. Last Regular Season Home Game. Come Root on the Baysox as they make their Push for the Playoffs. Gegneral admission tickets are $7. Games starts at 7:05 p.m. at Prince George's Stadium in Bowie.
September 7 - Maryland Seafood Festival. Sandy Point State Park will again be the host site for the 46th annual Maryland Seafood Festival, a tasty and entertaining tradition, with music, great food, exhibits, arts and crafts, and featuring The Capital’s 23rd Crab Soup Cook-off. Fun starts at 10 a.m. Admission.
