There was no better way to follow up Thursday night Simon Fashion Now, than with the delicious, sentimental yet exciting University of Texas MD Anderson Children's Art Project; Gold Star Luncheon. The delightful event held on Friday September 6th 2013; was sponsored by Neiman Marcus, The Galleria and United Airlines.
The Children’s Art Project began in 1973 with a volunteer’s idea to create a Christmas card from a child’s artwork. Through the sale of merchandise featuring designs created by young cancer patients, the program funds important programs that touch more than 26,000 pediatric patients and families. All proceeds from the sale of products are invested directly into pediatric patients programs at MD Anderson -giving hope, normalcy and a promising future for a young lives interrupted by cancer.
Through worldwide sales of young cancer patients' original artwork featured on seasonal note cards and gift items, the project has returned more than $30 million to programs that benefit pediatric cancer patients and their families. The Children's Art Project's highest priority is ensuring young patients have opportunities to live a more normal childhood. Each year, the programs funded through sales touch more than 26,000 pediatric patients and families. (Childrensart.org)

After the introduction of the Holiday Designers were the Honorees of the morning, which were: Nancy Brown Loeffler, Ashley Loeffler ad Lauren Loeffler Powers.
Guest enjoyed another astonishing look into fashion by Neiman Marcus via the catwalk, where models delivered the runway front and centered. Hi-stepping, strolling and commanding the runway, Houston models painted the room with an array of colors, fabrics, shades and textures. As they carousel around the end of the runway, it was nothing short of simply beautiful. Cross pollinating of the fashion selection conceived art and evoked a finale that was very easy on the eyes.
