McWane Science Center Offers Learning Experiences

From now through September 3, Birmingham, Alabama's McWane Science Center offers several learning experiences for youth to enjoy.

The activities are of particular interest to local families who are looking for activities for their children during the summer months while out of school and a trip to the center, located at 200 19th Street N., Birmingham is enjoyable for everyone.

Main activities include: through Sept. 4 - Dora & Diego: Let's Explore Exhibit, Summer Camp from now until Aug. 10, Hero Day on June 16, Member Day on July 21 and from Sept. 1-3 it's Hasta Luego Dora & Diego Party.

The "Dora & Diego Let's Explore" is a Nickelodeon exhibit from their preschool series and features the two characters along with friends Boots, Map, Backpack, Isa, Tico and Swiper. This is a new, interactive traveling exhibit created by The Children's Museum of Indianapolis.

Summer Camp runs weeks through now until Aug. 6-10 for grades 4K-Kindergarten up through grades 7-9 and includes first rate hands-on educational programming, half-day or all day weekly options, snacks, lunch, t-shirt with costs from $125 - $300.
