Struggling to generate interest in its upcoming Xbox One, Microsoft will announce "FIFA 14" will be packaged with all Xbox One consoles sold in Europe, according to a report from MCV published Monday.
The site quotes sources within Microsoft, stating Microsoft will reveal the partnership with publisher EA during its Gamescom conference Tuesday. The bundle will retail for £429.99. This is believed to be an attempt to bring the value prospects of the Xbox One and the Playstation 4 closer together. In Europe, the PS4 is £80 cheaper than its competition.
EA's "FIFA" series is one of the best selling titles each year, topping 3 million copies in the United Kingdom alone. In the United States, it has surpassed "Madden NFL" in annual sales. There is no word whether Microsoft will bring a similar bundle to the U.S.
Both Microsoft and EA declined to comment on the report.
