McGruff & Missy: Frisky pair of gorgeous dachshund puppies need home together

MISSY AND MCGRUFF HAVE BEEN ADOPTED!!!

Missy and McGruff were given up by their previous owner because he was a full-time college student and didn't have the time to care for this wonderful pair of one-year-old doxie puppies.

Missy is a little shy and takes a while to warm up to new people. But once she does, she is very sweet and loving. Her favorite spot is her person's lap, and she insists on sleeping right next to her people in the big bed.

Missy likes to go for walks and loves the park. She barks at strangers walking by, but never snaps or bites. She also enjoys playing with McGruff and her toys.

McGruff has a lot of energy! He loves to play with his sister and will run around the house and the park chasing her. He loves to give kisses and follows his person everywhere. More outgoing than Missy, McGruff enjoys meeting new people. He also loves sleeping in the big bed with Missy.

McGruff was born with one front leg slightly taller than the other. We have done x-rays and consulted with numerous vets about correcting this condition. Basically, they can do surgery, but there's no guarantee he'll heal and be pain-free. So we decided to leave it alone. When he gets tired, he limps, but he's smart enough to go lay down to rest. This leg may be prone to becoming arthritic in his old age, but for the immediate future, it's not a serious problem.

Missy and McGruff were semi-house trained when they came into rescue. They are doing very, very well in their foster home. We'd love to place them with someon who is home much of the time and can continue to take them on walks and outings. They are also crate trained, so traveling with them is easy.

We are looking for either an adults-only home or a family with older children, no babies, toddlers or youngsters under eight years old. They love other dogs, but we don't know if they are cat-safe.
Missy and McGruff's vaccines are up-to-date, and they are both microchipped and altered. They are a bonded pair and we will not separate them.
