McDonald's announced today that it is planning a one-day hiring spree of 50,000 new workers on April 19. The number one fast food restraurant in the world noted within these that new "Mcjobs" will include both management and crew member positions, part-time and full-time.
"We're excited to offer 50,000 new jobs, all across America, all in one day," said Jan Fields, president of McDonald's U.S.A. Fields said the 50,000 new hires will increase the U.S. workforce to 700,000 from its current level of 650,000.
The jobs pay an average of $8.30 an hour. Restaurant managers can make $50,000 a year.
The newly build LG Chem Battery Plant in Holland, Michigan is look to fill 100 positions within the next several months, according to their job posting on Michigan Talent Bank.
Senior Technical Operators are production/factory positions, but the company note that their search is focused on candidates that possess strong production experience, skills and leadership qualities. Pay for the positions are between $18-$19 dollars per hour and full benefits are included.
Education background for the Senior Technical Operators opening includes High School diploma or GED. Also, a 2 or 3 year technical degree certificate is preferred. Experience levels LG Chem is seeking include 5 to 10 years relevant work experience in automotive production, proven production work history, ability to work autonomously and candidate with high standards of quality.
Candidates must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift and, a willingness to travel outside of the internationally for training is required for the positions.
