We are all quickly losing excuses not to eat a good breakfast when McDonald's has come up with a hearty and healthy oatmeal. They describe it as "We take 100% natural whole grain oats and blend it with brown sugar and just a touch of cream for a taste that will make you stand up and sing."

With only 290 calories and 4.5 fat grams, this is a fantastic and inexpensive option for on-the-go breakfast eating. Compare that to a regular size bacon, egg and cheese buscuit which has 420 calories and 23 grams of fat!

Here is the only drawback; how difficult is it to pull up to McDonalds drive thu and smell their hash browns, bacon, sausage and such and then choose the oatmeal? Credit to the strong person who can do it. Have you?

I regret that I cannot be credited yet. Then again, I haven't been able to go to McDonald's for breakfast lately. I guess a hot bowl oatmeal will warm up a dreary Tuesday...

I have seen the oatmeal ads, and I am curious to see how it tastes. I'm so glad they have it because so many times I want something good to eat, not dripping with grease, but, I don't have the time to make it myself, or to go to a good sit-down restaurant. Not to mention that it's much cheaper. Thanks Maggie, L
