McDonald's Drive-Thru Employee Steals Hundreds of Credit Card Numbers

Percival James, 22, a McDonald's drive-thru employee in Boca Raton, Florida has been charged with stealing hundreds of credit card numbers from drive through customers and selling them on the black market for $500 each.

James used a small scanning device to swipe each customer's credit card through a second time, which stored the information needed to charge the credit card. Security cameras show James stealing between 30-70 credit card numbers a day. After countless fraud complaints were all filed immediately after visiting the same McDonald's, detectives investigated the McDonald's security cameras to identify James as the culprit. He's being held in the Palm Beach County Jail in leu of a $9,000 bond.
