McDonald's bagged coffee will become available within the next year, according to the Associated Press via ABC News on Oct. 31. There will be a variety of options tested in both restaurant and retail locations, and many are betting this will be a big hit for the corporation.
Both whole-bean and ground versions of McDonald's bagged coffee will be tested out in various markets. There will also be single-cup servings available. So far, the corporate office has not disclosed any other specifics. McDonald's bagged coffee can already be purchased in Canada.
The company will partner with Kraft Foods Group Inc. for distribution, though it has not been disclosed how widespread the test will be. The move to create McDonald's bagged coffee makes a lot of sense, and some might say they could be a bit behind the curve. Starbucks, Caribou and Dunkin' Donuts all have successful lines of bagged coffee available both in restaurant locations and retail outlets.
