McCullen wins Everstart Series on Lake Guntersville

Alabama Rig or not to Alabama Rig that’s the question, but it didn’t seem to make any difference either way by the size of the stringer the bass anglers were hauling in. About half of them were using and the other half wasn’t. What a time was had by all there wasn’t a dry or bored fishing line in the house. Cold yes, but who noticed with these kinds of numbers going on

James McCullen Pennsylvania fished a fast, steady and serious 28 pounds two days in a row, and 29-06 for the third and final day in paradise city for the tournament 87-06 bringing him $40,000. Not bad for his first tournament on Lake Guntersville and he’ll probably never forget. Chad Aaron the man with his nose in the lead for the first two days of the tournament came to the dock with 7-11 which put him into seventh place.

Alex “The Spinnerbait Kid” Davis Alabama made his up to second place with 27-13 and his three-day tournament total of 84-05 and a check for $15,000. Third place Justin Lucas 27-15 and a three-day total 81-00

4-Robert Boyd 26-03 76-05

5-Sean Skey 21-05 69-15

6-Kent Ware 17-02 66-02

8-Tony Davis 10-08 60-04
