Mindy McCready reportedly shot her dog before committing suicide on Sunday (Feb. 17). McCready shot a dog that had previously belonged to her late boyfriend, David Wilson, at her home. According to a report from Monday (Feb. 18), this was what appeared to have taken place according to Cleburne County Sheriff Marty Moss.
This is just another sad detail from the McCready case. It was just back in January that her boyfriend reportedly died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, possibly leading her to what took place over the weekend. In early February she had her two sons taken away and placed in foster care as she was forced to go through a court-ordered rehabilitation.

The investigation into McCready's death is still considered open and probably will be until the official coroner's report is released. It was very clear that she was troubled, though, which doesn't lend well to the rumors that have been on the internet about the singer. Leaving behind two young sons makes the whole situation that much more heartbreaking. Her sons are a six-year-old as well as a 10-month-old that she had with Wilson.
The reported news that Mindy McCready shot her dog before committing suicide just adds another level of sadness to this tragedy.
