According to TSN, former Calgary Stampeder quarterback Mike McCoy recorded his first playoff victory on Sunday as the San Diego Chargers defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 27-10.

A major reason for the Chargers' victory was the number of mistakes made by the Bengals. Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton threw for two interceptions, while Dalton and Bengals running back Giovani Bernard each recorded a key fumble.

The Chargers displayed outstanding defense throughout the contest and prevented the Bengals from finishing any sustained drives in the second half. Chargers linebacker Donald Butler had an outstanding game. He had nine tackles and a forced fumble.

With the victory, San Diego will now play the Denver Broncos in the AFC Divisional Playoff Game from the Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. MT. The Chargers beat the Broncos in the regular season 27-20 on December 12.

McCoy meanwhile was the Stampeders quarterback in 1999.
