McCormick’s 56th automobile auction begins today and continues through Sunday at the Spa Casino in downtown Palm Springs. Over 500 classic, exotic, vintage, and collector cars will pass through the auction block over the next three days starting at 2:00pm today.

McCormick’s previous auction November 22 – 24, 2013 resulted in a total of 533 cars for sale with 370 being sold for a 69% sales rate. Sales totaled $6,163,617 for the three-day pre-Thanksgiving event, $150,000 more than last November’s total, according to Jason McCormick.

“We sold both high end and very affordable classic cars and trucks, with many going over the reserve,” said Jason McCormick. “A no-reserve 1957 XK 140 MC Coupe Jaguar brought $73,500, a stunning 1970 Cadillac Deville Convertible changed hands for $47,250 and a 1967 Mercedes 250 SE Cabriolet sold $60,112 just to name a few.

According to, vehicles to watch in this auction include a 1960 Chrysler 300F, 1962 Porsche 356, 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS, 1937 Ford Coupe, and a 1993 Vector W8.

The auction is open to the public and non-bidders with Friday being a free admission day. Tickets are $15 for Saturday or Sunday or a two-day ticket can be purchased for $25.00.
