A spokesman for Paul McCartney has dismissed predictions about the former Beatle's upcoming nuptials to socialite Nancy Shevell.
A report in the UK Telegraph Wednesday said his upcoming wedding to Shevell will be a modest ceremony for members of his family in London. The story said a party will later be held in the States for the bride's family.
“Paul loves Nancy very much, but does not want a big wedding,” the Telegraph quoted an anonymous friend.
McCartney has done lavish nuptials before. His castle wedding to Heather Mills reportedly cost $3.2 million. It was held on the 1,000 acre Castle Leslie estate in Ireland in 2002.
His first wedding to Linda Eastman was quite the opposite. Paul married Linda in a civil ceremony on March 12, 1969 at the Marylebone Register Office. Brother Mike McCartney was best man at both ceremonies.
A McCartney spokesman said the whole report was nothing more than "speculation."
