The November, 2013 issue of the UK magazine MOJO, available through Barnes & Noble in the States, will have Paul McCartney on its cover along with a new interview, the magazine announced on their website Sept. 20.
He tells writer MOJO Pat Gilbert, “The fact is there’s only a given body of people who really know inside out what goes on, and other people analyze it and that’s fine. But when they get it wrong, you just have to live with it.”
A free CD included with the magazine, “Songs In The Key Of Paul,” will include McCartney-inspired songs by the Flamin’ Groovies, Robyn Hitchcock, Cotton Mather, Yo La Tengo, Redd Kross and Squeeze.
ON THE CHARTS: Paul McCartney's single “New” made its first appearances on the charts at No. 15 on the Japan Hot 100 and at No. 48 on the Billboard Rock Songs chart. A British chart debut could happen Saturday when the charts in the UK are updated for the week. “New” also got a mention in Billboard's Fall Music Preview as one of the 52 hottest albums to be released in the autumn months.
LIVE ON THE BBC: Paul McCartney will be appearing on the BBC's “6 Music Live at Maida Vale” taping in the UK on Oct. 16. A free ticket giveaway (limit 2) for those 18 and over is being held through Sept. 27 on the show's site.
RUMORS GOIN' 'ROUND: An unconfirmed cover for the Best Buy “New” exclusive with a strange cover design showed up on Facebook, though it's not on Best Buy's website and is unconfirmed. The “exclusive” features, according to the picture, are a collectible photo card set and a commemorative badge. We'll take the extra CD that came with the “Wings Over America” version, thank you. Another unconfirmed report is that Paul will play three songs on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” including “New” and “Save Us.”
IHEART STREAM UPDATE: Paul McCartney announced on his website Friday that Paul McCartney will appear Saturday at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. The concert will be streamed online beginning at 10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT at this link or on through the Live Events Viewer of the PlayStation 3. The festival will also be broadcast on 150 Clear Channel radio stations across the U.S.

You can order the vinyl on Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.jp and Amazon.co.uk. The standard CD is available from Amazon.com and Walmart. A deluxe 15-track version is available from Walmart, adding "Turned Out," "Get Me Out of Here" and "Scared," also available from Amazon in France. An "exclusive" version is also available at Best Buy, but there are no details on what it contains. Available on Amazon.co.uk is a Mint Pack, but which appears to be the standard CD. The MP3 is available in the U.S., the UK and Japan.
