Next month (February 9th) will mark the 50th Anniversary of The Beatles appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show which broadcast the beginning of the band's rise in America.
Paul McCartney was just 21 years old during that performance in what fully kicked off the first phase of his illustrious career.
Now, at age 71, McCartney's latest studio album "New" is his 17th as a solo artist. His recording and touring band has been with him since 2001, a couple of years longer than his trek with the Beatles or Wings.
Palladia is airing an hour long documentary on the making of 'New" with an extraordinary look into McCartney's creative process in the studio. What's really insightful here is getting to know McCartney's current bandmates and their personal and professional relationship with him through the years.
Also interviewed are the four producers (yes, four) who worked on this album--each of them hand picked by McCartney having never worked with him before.
You can watch the 'Making Of New' on the Palladia Channel during the following dates in January:
Saturday, January 18 8:00 PM
Tuesday, January 21 4:00 PM
Wednesday, January 29 5:00 AM
The video within this article is separate from the documentary and shows the behind the scenes making of the video for Queenie Eye, one of the singles from New.
