McCartney 'New' news: More chart debuts; work crews prepping for Kimmel show
Paul McCartney's “New” hit #1 on two Mediabase Radio Charts Sept. 21, according to Rob Christie, founder of Robo Records. The single is at the top of the Classic Rock and Classic Hits charts. It's also #19 on the Triple A and Adult Contemporary charts.
WALKING DOWN HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD: Hollywood's Hollywood Boulevard will be the scene Monday night of a performance by Paul McCartney for “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Workers were already preparing the site Friday, according to music journalist and publicist Phyllis Pollack. “"Sir Paul is obviously promoting his new single, and drawing attention to his upcoming album, which will be released in October. Paul has a very long and rich history and relationship with Hollywood. This historic concert will surely add to it. People will look back on this as the night that Hollywood Boulevard was shut down for Paul McCartney," she said.
McCARTNEY IN VEGAS: Paul McCartney and the band spent Saturday night in Las Vegas performing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, where he performed three songs from the “New” album live for the very first time. You can read about it here.
