McCartney guitarist's fans planning for special birthday tribute

Julie Clark, who is a member of a group of fans of Paul McCartney guitarist Brian Ray called the Whooray Team, told the Paul McCartney Examiner Jan 2 that, as it has done in past years, the group is putting together an annual gift to a charity in Brian's honor.

“We are going to do it again this year but the charity has not been decided upon -- either pet adoptions or funds to help service men and women in some way,” she said in an email.

The last two years, the group has made donations in honor of Ray's brother, who died from cancer in 2012. Both of the group's gifts in 2012 and in 2013 were donations of over $600 each.

Clark says anyone who wants to be included in this year's tribute can email Julie Clark at WhoorayTeam@gmail.com and/or join the Whooray Team Facebook page. And a poll to pick the charity to vote for the charity that will be chosen for the donation this year is at http://brianrayfans.blogspot.com/.
