McCartney FedEx Field report 1: Ringo song during soundcheck?

Daniel, who's at FedEx Field, tells us gates opened at 6 p.m. ET, after originally being announced to open at 5:30 p.m.

But he also had another interesting item: "Honey Don't" was played during the soundcheck.

Was it Ringo singing? "I wouldn't bet the farm on it but it sure sounded like Ringo," he texted us from his Blackberry.

Let's wait and see. And we'll look forward to other reports.

Paul did Honey Don't at both his Citi Field and Halifax soundchecks. It's NOT Ringo, it's Paul.

Gates may have opened a 1/2 hour late, but the performance was an hour and a 1/2 late!!! Disgusting!! No apology or explaination given to the crowd. Not nice Paul!!!

Great surprise to have Thievery Corporation open.

This morning I'm reminded how selfish & self-centered the Maryland crowd was last night. The most "disgusting" part of last night was the traffic. For all I know Paul was late due to the absolutely rude drivers heading south to attend his performance. I was shown how nasty and unconcerned with the safety of others my fellow Beatles fans are. Paul on the otherhand played beautifully! It was amazing to see a 67 year old transform into a twenty year old after the opening notes of his timeless songs. I may have been a George Harrison fan first but I never sat down and never stopped singing! I have a closer admiration for Sir Paul now! What artist has the ability to perform such an explosive set at the age of 67?!? Would they have returned to stage for two long encores?!? I was blown out of this world by the concert section of my 12 hour Saturday experience. Maryland and Northern Virginian drivers almost ruined the entire day!

Regarding Guitartistic's comments - I left home at 6:00 for what should have been a 40-minute drive. I ended up stuck in traffic for 3 1/2 hours, and missed seven of Paul's songs.

The parking and traffic arrangements seemed poorly thought out. Some highway exits leading to the stadium were blocked off, leaving traffic at a standstill for miles. At the stadium complex entrance, six lanes of traffic were bottlenecked into one lane, so it took me half an hour to get to a parking space. I parked my car at 9:30 pm and thousands of people were still arriving.

To start the concert on time under those circumstances would have been inconsiderate to thousands like me who, through no fault of our own, suffered major delays trying to get to the show.

Rudeness? I heard one car horn. Safety? Stopped cars can't crash.

The concert itself was incredible and worth the price. Getting there and back, however, was an ordeal. I don't blame the drivers, I blame poor parking arrangements.

    Thank God Paul started late!
The traffic was hell and I felt it was an extra present to those of us (just a few tousand people) stuck in that mess to be able to see the whole show.
There was also a very cool rainbow as we entered.
    Awesome show!

    Dear Guitarist,

I was at the Fedex show and it was a great experience. I do agree that the driving and the parking at the stadium was a mess but I have heard that ALL shows there are a mess. Do not blame Maryland drivers. You are an OUTSIDER to OUR state. So where are you from? My guess would be Pennsylvania or DC. More likely Pennsylvania. They are the worst drivers in the world. Baseball hat wearing hicks in pickup trucks with balls hanging from them. Next time stay north of the Mason Dixon Line there Yank. Fedex is not in DC, it is in MARYLAND. If you do not like the way we drive, stay in the cornfield, we would be much obliged. As for the show itself, it was well worth the inconvenience to see such an icon like Sir Paul put on a show like that at his age and not miss a note.
