MC Hammer was arrested and he is blaming racial profiling. The star of "Hammertime" is now dealing with the aftermath. On Feb. 24, TV Guide reported that he was arrested last Thursday night.
He was picked up on charges of suspicion of obstructing an officer in the performance of their duties and resisting an officer. The report says his real name which is Stanley Kirk Burrell. On Saturday, MC Hammer started speaking out about what was going on.
On Twitter he said: "Chubby elvis looking dude was tapping on my car window, I rolled down the window and he said 'Are you on parole or probation?'" He went on to say he was pulled out of the car and makes it sound like it was all because of his race.
Fox 8 posted a picture of what appears to be his mugshot. Police are saying he was in a vehicle with an expired registration and he was not the registered owner. He was not suspected to have alcohol or drugs in his system.
