McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks welcome their guests with all of the ingredients for a perfect evening. The McCormick & Schmick experience begins as you drive under their pointed-roof in the driveway to see their touch of nature with the trees and greenery.
If you are celebrating a special occasion, business meeting, planning to propose or just want a romantic dinner for two, the private rooms would be a great choice. They just close the curtains and “voila”!
I usually try crab cakes to discover their own special way of preparing them. They serve not only crab cakes but a lump Blue crab tower layered with avocado, mango and an orange vinaigrette.
Todd K. Ansteth, General Manager, suggested, “For something different, our guests can use the crab tower as a topping on steaks or fish orders. Either way it is an interesting combination.”
The lump Blue crab cake offered several flavors, red and green bell peppers, panco bread crumbs and seasoning. Whether you follow a health diet or want to indulge yourself, McCormick & Schmick caters to their guest’s individual preferences. You don’t find that often.
Todd explained, “You can eat 1-2-3 or more oysters, whatever amount you want. Just taste the oysters, as an appetizer or meal. This gives guests an opportunity to try one or two of each as opposed to ordering the usual 6 or 12. Why not order one, two or three of each?
During happy hour every Wednesday, we feature “Buck a Shot”, one dollar for each oyster and one dollar for shrimp cocktails. The oysters are rotated currently with Connecticut Blue Point, Canadian Maipeques, Baja California Kumiai and British Columbia Kusshi oysters from different areas of the world. “ A meal of oysters!
I wanted to order the Prince Edward Island steamed muscles as an appetizer but with 20 muscles, this was a share or main dish. The muscles are prepared with tomatoes, white wine and herbs. Todd encourages everyone to join them. “We feature half-sized portions of steamed muscles at happy hour.”
The creamy blue cheese crumbles and crunchy candied walnuts in a Balsamic Vinaigrette offer a taste treat in the mixed green salad. McCormick & Schmick’s dry rubbed Black Angus ribeye steak is unforgettable.
With 13 ounces of tender steak, guests will appreciate the 21 days of the wet-aging process. In addition to the aging, they use the center cut to provide the best cut of meat. For information, call 702-836-9000. Mc Cormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks is located at 335 Hughes Center Drive.
